The breakthrough came in the 29th minute. After a sustained period of pressure, Robert Lewandowski clinical finish from the center of the box, assisted by a sharp Dani Olmo pass, broke the deadlock. Mallorca had threatened early through Jan Virgili, but Barca’s defense, led by Pau Cubarsí, settled after the opening goal.
In the second half, the Blaugrana turned up the heat. Lamine Yamal doubled the lead in the 58th minute with a trademark left-footed strike from outside the area, finding the right corner after a clever corner-kick routine involving Dani Olmo. The goal effectively ended Mallorca's hopes of a comeback.
The night was capped off in the 86th minute by Marc Bernal. The young midfielder, who has been a revelation this season, scored the third with a composed left-footed shot from the center of the area after being set up by Fermín López.
