Juventus maintained their unbeaten home record in Serie A this season by the narrowest of margins, recovering from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 with Lazio. In a match of high drama at the Allianz Stadium, Luciano Spalletti's side showed immense character to rescue a point in the final seconds.
Lazio stunned the home crowd just before halftime when the veteran Pedro found the back of the net in the 45th minute with a powerful strike. The visitors doubled their lead early in the second half when Gustav Isaksen finished a clinical counter-attack in the 55th minute, leaving Juventus with a mountain to climb.
The comeback began in the 63rd minute. Weston McKennie, continuing his prolific season under Spalletti, reacted quickest to a loose ball in the box to pull one back. Juventus then threw everything forward, having two goals disallowed for offside during a frantic final period. Just as it seemed Lazio would secure a rare away win in Turin, Pierre Kalulu rose highest to meet a corner in the 95th minute, powering a header past Ivan Provedel to spark wild celebrations.
What It Means: Juventus remain in 4th place with 46 points, keeping their Champions League hopes firm but losing ground on the title race. Lazio stay in 8th place, left to rue a missed opportunity to close the gap on the top six.
